I am a 47 year old chunky woman with a better life than I or anyone from my childhood could have ever imagined for me.
Looking back today, I have had the strength and determination to augment every path laid in front of me with my super power of #ODD Oppositional Defiant Disorder. Every time I was informed I couldn’t or shouldn’t do something, a hidden power awoke in me to do it immediately.
Growing up a system kid I fought hardest against being anything like the blood line I was born into. I augmented my path so much that I have often felt guilty for going so far away from them.
The only path flowing in my DNA that I have not taken on to augment is my health. My blood line on both sides are generations of chunk a monks. With the obesity and other illnesses came the life expectancy averaging at 65 years.
This early life expectancy is also a result of drugs, tobacco, alcohol and other un healthy choices.
Waking up to my absolutly amazing wife of 16 years is more than enough inspiration to live far beyond 65 to enjoy this world with her for as long as I can. In addition to that we have our eleven year old that I am excited to see where his path leads him. We have many friends and a strong community. There is so much more I want to give back to this world to pay forward for all of those that have helped augment my path.
I started June 23 2017. I walked a minimum of 5,000 steps per day. 37 days later, I have walked at least 10,000 steps per day every day since June 28.
I have good sneakers, gel inserts, a small under knee brace to support my feet and legs carrying this massive chunk a monk ass. I also have a #fitbit to count my steps, keep track of my heart rate, log my calories and track my sleep.
I only want to do what I know I will commit to for the rest of my long life. My beginning goal is to be healthier at 50 than I ever was at 40. I know this is going to be a slow process. My belief is that the slow sustainable pace will ensure longjevity of result.
